Patrick started his Love affair with Hair as a 14 year old youth helping out in his Mother's salon. At first opportunity Patrick enrolled in Cosmetology school at Aveda Fredrics Institute. Patrick has accomplished so much as a young stylist and continues to grow his career, where he currently works for Van Micheal Salons in Atlanta.

Hair Royalty Adds 4 New Japanese-Steel Shears to Create "a Shear for Every Cut"

Hair Royalty, the Gastonia, North Carolina-based branding specialists for hair stylists with their fashion forward apparel, jewelry, shears and hair-related accessories, today has announced the addition of 3 new models of Japanese-Steel professional hair cutting shears to their already extensive offerings.



"The four new additions bring our shear offerings to a total of 7 models. Introducing the new models are another step in our goal to create "a shear for every cut" tm", says Jody Baucom, Founder of Hair Royalty.



The new additions are "Zenbi" Ergonomics, "Ryoba" 3in1 Shears,"Bushido" Japanese Professional shears and the "10 teeth" Texturizers.

“All Shears come with a Logo Zipper Storage case, Camelia oil bottle, polishing cloth and a ‘Lifetime Warranty’ against manufacturing defects,” said Jody Baucom.



The ZENBI shears are a fantastic ergonomic shear. It features an offset, extremely curved ergonomic handle that fits your hand perfectly. These shears will reduce the stress on your hands when cutting and are perfect for a variety of cutting techniques. ZENBI in japanese means the good & the beautiful.



The Ryoba 3 in 1 shears are made from razor sharp 440c Japanese Steel and are very unique.

With these shears the stylist can cut the shape, add texture and even thin and slither the hair without ever reaching for a separate tool. These are a new innovation in haircutting tools that take the design of classic haircutting scissors and cross them with the functionality of the guarded razor for haircutting. The outside edges of the blades on the shears are notched, creating “guards” that resemble the spines of a fish’s skeleton. The notches that now serve as guards enable the stylist to use the shears as a razor tool simply by holding them closed and dragging them along the length of the hair

Keith Bailey is an award winning photographer, makeup artist, and hairstylist. He has worked for numerous magazines, on independent films, and theatres across the country. His work has been featured in art galleries, books, and calanders.

The new additions are "Jiten" Swivel Thumb Shears, Gakusei Shears, and the Ichiban Japanese Professional shears.

“All Shears come with a Logo Zipper Storage case, Camelia oil bottle, polishing cloth and a ‘Lifetime Warranty’ against manufacturing defects,” said Jody Baucom, founder of Hair Royalty.

The "Jiten" Swivel Thumb Shears line features comfortable ergonomic designs to ease the stress caused by traditional handled shears. Hand Forged, 440C Japanese Steel w/ cobalt alloys. Precision ground convex blades, hollow ground and razor honed.

Gakusei Shears, on the other hand, are made from German stainless steel and test at a hardness of hrc 58-59. “These shears are created at a high quality for the budget minded stylist/student,’” said Jody Baucom, who added that the word “Gakusei” means "Student" in Japanese.

Meanwhile, the Japanese word “Ichiban", which means "number one" or "the best” described the third model line of shears. “This Instrument of precision is hand forged Japanese 440c Stainless Steel with cobalt and molybdenum, with a hardness of hrc 61-62, with razor sharp edges, hollow-ground blades, adjustable dial spring tension system and permanent finger rest,”
